Natural swimming pond

Centred around the clients wish for a large pond with multiple dining spaces, naturally the gardens main feature was a wildlife-friendly swimming pond with a sun deck and covered pergola. Leading from this, the garden space has been designed with various enclosed spaces to provide separate entertaining areas. It retains an open and airy feel with movement through the grasses and planting, with a private and secluded feel through the use of structural planting. The design also features a breakfast terrace and main BBQ patio area, which is surrounded by the first of two wild flower meadow planting zones and a wildlife friendly sculpture.

The planting has been selected to encourage wildlife throughout the year, with a generous mixed herbaceous borders containing perennial grasses and flowers, which left uncut over winter will provide an invaluable nature friendly environment.
